One important process is the issuance of a duplicate ration card.

Need of AP Duplicate Ration Card

A documented ration card is very important. It enables the citizens to use it in many ways. Thus, it is necessary that they possess a copy of the ration card.

In case the citizens lose the ration card, they can get a duplicate issued. For this, there is an entire process that needs to be followed.

Not everyone can get a duplicate ration card issued. The authorities issued a ration card only to the candidates who already had one. Furthermore, we need a written application requesting the issuance of the ration card.

Documents for duplicate ration card

In order to apply for a duplicate ration card, the applicants need to submit the following documents:

  • Details of the old ration card.
  • Identity card of the ration card holder, such as Aadhaar card, voter ID card, PAN card, driving license, and others.
  • Written application detailing the loss of issued ration card.
  • Mobile number to which the ration card was issued.
  • Other details pertaining to the issued ration card and respective documents requested by the authorities.

Apply for AP Duplicate Ration Card

In order to get an Andhra Pradesh ration card issued units, duplicate format, the candidates need to follow the following process:

  1. Visit the nearest Mee Seva Centre.
  2. Candidates need to find their respective ward or area. Volunteers to address the problem of loss of issued ration cards.
  3. Applicants can also visit the nearest ration distribution point in order to obtain the application form.
  4. From any of the above mediums, the candidates need to get the application form for the issuance of a new ration card in replacement of the last one. The head of the family or other Cardholder needs to write a written application or a letter stating the loss of the ration card.
  5. Fill out the application form and attach the written letter along with the required documents.
  6. Submit all the details and documents to the respective authority.
  7. The authorities will issue a duplicate ration card in a period of 2 to 3 weeks. Once the request is approved and verification is done.
